I'm sure most of you followed this, but if not, here are 2 articles to read:

Anyway, I took the 40 teams, and split them up into 4 divisions:
| East | Midwest | South | West |
|
|
|
|
| Boston College | Iowa | Alabama | Arizona State |
| Clemson | Kansas | Arkansas | Boise State |
| Florida | Michigan | Auburn | BYU |
| Florida State | Michigan State | LSU | Cal |
| Georgia | Missouri | Mississippi | Nebraska |
| Georgia Tech | Notre Dame | Oklahoma | Oregon |
| Miami | Ohio State | Oklahoma State | Oregon State |
| Penn State | Tennessee | Texas | UCLA |
| South Carolina | West Virginia | Texas A&M | USC |
| Virginia Tech | Wisconsin | Texas Tech | Utah |
If this were the case, I think the South would be very, very tough, followed by the East, the West, then the Midwest. It'll never happen, but it's interesting to look at the what if's anyway.
