Its much easier to get your team amped up for one quality opponent a year. Its much harder to go through the grind of facing a quality opponent every week. The cupcake weeks for Pac-10 schools are the weekends they play Boise State's conference foes. IMO, Boise State is at best a .500 team in Pac-10 ball.
You have absolutely no way to prove that though. That's all speculative and quite frankly...wrong.

I'm not defending boisejames, but some of the arguments here are riduculous and have no basis.

How is it wrong? You think facing two quality back to back opponents is equal difficulty to facing a quality and a cupcake? Wow.

If I had a dollar for every time a BCS coach stated how difficult it is to get their team up for a big game week after week I'd be rich.

Re: Boise State National champs 2009?

Mid Major schools will never have a case. Let's be realistic here. Even if they upset one or two good teams, it doesn't prove anything, because the rest of the season, they're playing crappier teams than the top teams have to face. Even if you think your team is ridiculously awesome, if it's in a mid-major conference, you just won't have a case to play for the title. The only way would be to have the same strength of schedule as the top tier teams. That's the only way people will feel your team deserves a shot at the national title. However, if you're in a mid-major conference, this is just impossible, since your conference will be much weaker than the top tier teams' conferences. It isn't fair, in a sense that you pretty much can't do anything about it, and all you can do is win against the teams you play. However, that's just how the NCAA fbs cookie crumbles.

I'm not even going to bother quoting, and laughing hysterically at the many utterly stupid things you've said.

boisejames, congratulations for being not just the biggest homer, but the biggest joke on this entire board.

Congratulations, you earned it.
