2004 Utah was the better team. If it weren't for the 2004 team Utah most likely would not have had the respect from pollsters and ended up in a BCS game.

2008's Utah team. 2004's team crushed Pittsburgh 35-7 in the Fiesta Bowl, but I think it's safe to say that Pittsburgh was the worst team to ever play in a BCS bowl. That Pitt team just wasn't very good.

2004 Utah was the better team but 208 Utah had a better resume.

The big problem with the 2004 team is they didn't get to play anyone. This is especially irritating since it had probably the best BCS crop of the series aside from Pitt. I personally would go 2004, but either one was pretty damn good.

2004 had the better offense, 2008 the better defense. 2008 overall.

2008 has the better resume, but that 2004 team was absurd. They obliterated everyone they played. I really think 2004 Utah is one of the best 5 or 10 teams this decade.

Absolutely the 2004 team. It's not even close. They were better on defense, and had better skill players on offense.

The 2008 team has a better resume, but the 2004 team was more talented.
