Re: Spring Game attendance...

15,000+ at the Oregon spring game.

Observations:

Fast. The team is incredibly fast on both sides of the ball. The offense operates at a quicker pace than last year. This will be one of the best conditioned teams in all of college football on both sides of the ball.

JC RB recruit LaGarette Blount is a big man and put in a dominating physical performance.

WR transfer Jamere Holland is the astest player on the team and blew up a safety with his shoulder to end a long run.

QB play was inconsistent and could be a weakness of this team. Freshmen Darron Thomas bears an uncanny resemblance to Dennis Dixon, but his passing skills need a lot of work. The other freshman QB Chris Harper is a big QB who runs extremely well and has a physical element (think Jake Locker). Projected starter at QB, Nate Costa did not play as he is still rehabbing a knee injury.

The line play was surprisingly excellent, it could be an underrated component of this team.

Coach Bellotti was really good in the booth doing some commentary.

God I hope Tavares Pressley makes me forget FSU also had a commitment from Blount before he suddenly switched to Oregon.

30k is still the fifth highest turnout all-time though, for whatever that's worth.
