I read that there wasn't anywhere near that amount of people still there once the game started because of the rain.

It wasn't a huge dropoff, but by the 3rd quarter it was. Most of the regular stadium was full (although I couldnt see the upper deck behind me), and the south stands were maybe 1/8th full. The rain waited just enough so that as soon as the lacrosse game ended, it rained. I was able to get some nice seats though, first row 40 yard lone on the gray bench. Got a couple words in with Sanzenbacher (who is also from Toledo), Beanie came over for a bit to talk with fans too. The interviews on the Big Ten network with Cris Carter and Beanie were pretty much right in front of me. Good Lord is Beanie huge (and not fat huge, muscular huge).

The UConn spring game was actually on TV this year, I'm pretty sure that's a first. Just under 10k showed up.

Re: Spring Game attendance...

Why would anyone up here care about UConn football out-of-season? New England always has and always will be a pro market and UConn is a basketball school.

Even if UConn were to make a BCS game in the next few years I doubt the Spring Game attendance would top 15k.

Re: Spring Game attendance...

Most Big Ten teams outside of PSU and OSU drew anywhere from 12,000 - 25,000 for their spring game.

Wisky was on the higher end there. NW and Minnesota have their games this weekend.
