But we do need some OL in order to make it easier for Brown and James to pound down the defense. Ben Jones won't play this year, so he will be a redshirt frosh. Brandon Washington will join the team next year. We need Stoutland to gather in some Big Ten-type of blockers.

Shaq Evans pulls back soft verbal, has new leader
No. 3-rated wide receiver Shaquelle Evans does not consider himself a soft commit to USC any longer and now favors Notre Dame, ESPN's Greg Biggins reports.

Evans said, "Right now, I'm really feeling Notre Dame. I had a great trip back there and that's where I feel most comfortable. It's hard to explain but I just felt so at home at Notre Dame and I've never felt that way around any other school."

Additionally, he mentioned the other schools still in the mix, "I still like USC a lot and I was at their game with Oregon last weekend. They have a great school but I'm leaning to Notre Dame right now. I may take a few more official visits and if I do, I'm looking at Michigan, Colorado and Oregon. Nothing is set though and I would say it's 50-50 whether or not I take more trips."

Evans finished by stating he does not have a definitive timeline for his decision and that distance from home will not be the factor he initially thought it would be.

4* Athlete/DB Stephon Gilmore should be announcing Friday. Its down to Clemson, South Carolina, and Alabama. My money is South Carolina but if he chose Alabama it wouldn't be surprising in the least.

Meyer has a nice history of getting Irish commits so I'll believe this when I see it, but other reports are that he is expected to enroll early so he must be strongly considering ND. I was pretty suprised by the committment to say the least.

If he enrolls early, we won't have to worry about the hat switcheroo at the podium that Petey and Urban love so much.

On another note , MSU picked up a big 2010 commitment in LB Max Bullough. He's expected to be a pretty highly rated LB prospect when the rankings come out.

Yeah, Bullough will be a top 10 in-stater next year. Another nice year in the state of Michigan next year, with Bullough, Gholston, White, Gardner, Bolden, Jackson, Mathis, Hill, Savage.
