Re: 2009 Recruiting Thread

Florida State picks up commitment #9 from 4* WR Wille Haulstead from Titusville, FL. He chose FSU over offers from Auburn and South Carolina, looks like a nice pickup based on the star rating, I don't know much about him other than he has a pretty slow 40 time of 4.59.

That's probably why Florida didn't offer him. I kid, I kid.

There has been a trend with the WR's FSU has been recruiting since Fisher became the OC, a lot of them are big kids generally going 6'3 or more. We also have the speedy slot guys like Bert Reed and Brandon Paul as well to go with the size.

I love this "Barbecue at the Big House'' thing that Rich Rodriguez has started and think its something that will help tremendously with recruiting. You would never see LC doing something like this. Not that there was anything wrong with how LC went about his recruiting efforts. He just wasn't nearly as hands on as Rodriguez seems to be.

Re: 2009 Recruiting Thread

In the last 2 days Rutgers picked up two commits.

One from Andre Civil a 6'4 240lb DE who once was in the Rivals 100 but dropped out due to injury. Did have a semi decent offer list from RU, Cuse, Uconn, Georgia Tech, and Clemson.

And today Rutgers got a verbal from TE Paul Carrezola a 6'2 250lb TE, ranked the 16th best TE had offers from RU, Pitt, BC, Iowa, NC State, Northwestern, and Cuse. He should develop into an exceptional blocking TE that Rutgers desperately needed inside the red zone.

FSU picks up commitment #10 from unranked Safety Justin Bright from Duncan, SC. He was teammates with 4* DE Everett Dawkins and has some current teammates who are high on FSU's list.

Good ol' Byrnes HS. They are pumping D1 players out of that place. Watch out for their old coach Bobby Bentley in the next 6-8 years.
