Former Illini recruit Melvin Fellows has switched to Ohio State. I've been expecting this for several months. The vibe I get is that Fellows didn't anticipate becoming such a big deal, and took his first major offer, but didn't close his recruitment. Once OSU offerred, insiders were calling him just a matter of time.

It's going to be fun watching the Newsome vs. Pryor rivalry. So does Newsome start as a freshman? Or is it possible one of the QB's Michigan has now could have a good enough year to start over a traditional spread QB next year?

I think if Newsome proves to be anywhere close to competent next fall he will be the starter in 2009. RichRod wants to get as many of his "own" players on the field as quickly as possible.

FSU picks up commitment #8 from 4* DE Ed Stinson. He isn't listed with an FSU offer on the Rivals site yet, he was one of those kids who was committing upon an offer which came.

It is good to see FSU back to getting stud DE's. Last year there was Everett Dawkins and Markus White, now they already have commitments from Brandon Jenkins and now Stinson.

RU was the head suitor for Glenn Carson, but it appears PSU may have taken the advantage. Rumor has it Clark Harris former RU TE, and graduate of the same HS as Carson has talked to Carson telling him Schiano hasn't done enough for him after leaving Rutgers. It's not Schiano's fault Harris has a problem with his attitude, had a horrible combine, and just came off as lazy person who wants to pin his lack of a NFL job on his old coach.

I'm waiting for RU to offer Ray Graham because he seems to just be waiting for us to offer him. He's been on campus nearly every week for the last month and is in love with the program.

Georgia landed a four-star OL Austin Long that had close to 20 offers to choose from.
