Re: 2009 Recruiting Thread

what sucks about Boyd going to Clemson is that it will help OSU with Devin Garnder for 2010

Re: 2009 Recruiting Thread

Clemson makes the most sense for Boyd. He'll be able to play as a redshirt freshman after rehabbing his knee this coming year. At Ohio State you have Pryor for another two years at least, and at Oregon Masoli is there for another two years with Darron Thomas behind him. Can't see Boyd beating either of those guys out to be the starter in the next four years.

Hargrave, but if you believe everything you read on UA boards, it's not too sure he's even a candidate for that.

It sounds to me like he's an obvious prep school candidate. If the ACTs are the problem, then you go to prep school. JUCO is for the people who are missing the required credit.

Re: 2009 Recruiting Thread

I just got to thinking about all of these Bryce Brown/David Oku situations. I would guess they wouldn't both go to the same school. If Oku somehow decided to go to Auburn (unlikely, but still possible) then I think Brown would go to UT. If Oku sticks with UT then maybe Auburn steps it up on Brown and gets a larger shot at him.

Chances are we won't get either, but I'm being hopeful here.

Very hopeful. Brown's going to Miami, and if not, Oregon. And Oku, while looking around, is still likely Tennessee-bound.

I'm just hoping we can luck out with one of them Randle, Kelly, or Tana Patrick.

I think we have the best shot with Tana, but we'll see.

And Daren Bates is visiting Auburn next week. He's is under the radar, but his recruiting has stepped up lately. He just got offers from Auburn and Alabama yesterday. His high school coach said he would be just as valuable a recruit as Tide commit Rod Woodson had he not just transferred to Olive Branch last July.

I think we have this guy, he's visiting next week, and he has labeled Auburn as his #1.

Re: 2009 Recruiting Thread

FSU may have three 5*'s taking officials this weekend in Andre Dubose, Trent Richardson, and possibly Gary Brown. All three are long shots at best but FSU can never be counted out when they get the last crack at a kid.
