Interesting.

Him and Tebow played together in high school at Nease.

I wonder if he regrets not sticking to his original committment for USC.

I agree

I thought we had a legitimate shot at him until I started reading some of his interviews and you could tell that location was going to be a huge factor in his decision.

Oh well on to Tate Forcier I guess.

State will apparantly be picking up a verbal commitment from 4* running back & 64th rated overall by rivals RB Larry Caper. I'm not counting any chickens before they hatch, but Coach D must have done something right to get these quality kids to buy in. It would also seem that the more 4* recruits he gets, the more likely they should be to all sign as they see there class forming.

Congrats on Caper. I figured he would end up at MSU when RichRod took over in AA. He's just alot better suited in the offense at MSU than at Michigan.

Thanks, but State has to do some winning on the field before I feel confident that all these kids will sign. If things keep progressing like this, State could have a top 20 recruiting class, something that hasn't been done in a long long time. Michigan will still end up with the better class, but State might narrow the talent gap a little.

Thats all you can really ask for if you're a MSU fan. Those Sparty fans who think that can out recruit Michigan on a consistent basis let alone for a year are living in a fantasy world imo. But this is the year I really think they can really put a dent on UM in-state.

Well If you look back to the late 90's, Saban had just about turned the tables on Michigan. He was recruiting better better receivers specifically, but was really getting close to having some equal talent. That 1999 Spartan team was pretty stacked.

You are right though, State will never be able to consistantly out recruit Michigan, they don't have the national presence. However, over the last 5 years, MSU any given year has 2 or 3 guys that would start at Michigan. Saban had it closer to 8 to 10, and I like those odds alot better as a Spartan fan, hopefully State will get up there again.

One year does not a takeover make. It's still Mobile, Louisiana until proved otherwise over the course of several years

An fyi for the Heels fans out there, Donte Moss 6-4 230 lbs DE out of Jacksonville, N.C. commited today. He is the # 3 player in N.C. and the 11th overall DE prospect in the class of '09.
