I Am very surprised with this, When you have a good player Committing to you, especially when you suck, YOU KEEP HIM. Unless Marrone has a bunch of 4-5 star players coming in so he cannot spare the Scholarship, but we all know that is not the case.

I am upset by this But I will give marrone the benefit of the doubt. Maybe this kid didnt have the grades or was just overrated. The worst part about this though is that we get to keep a CRAPPY QB.
I don't know anything about this guy, but JUCO all american doesn't necessarily mean anything.

Tyler Lorenzen was a JUCO all american, and put up some insane passing stats.

Burned his redshirt covering kicks.

He saw some time at QB late didn't he, as a change of pace guy? Although Threet's injury may have forced RR's hand.

Yeah. He never threw a pass, but made everybody gaga with a 30 yard burst against Minnesota. After that, nobody was fooled, and he went back to slot WR.

On an unrelated note, a "William Michael Campbell" enrolled at Michigan yesterday afternoon; about the time somebody has to be enrolled if they plan on taking classes starting in the winter in two weeks...

Could be wrong but wasn`t he enrolling at more than one school before making his final choice?

That's what Patrick Johnson (Peterson) did last year.

Re: 2009 Recruiting Thread

I guess this might belong in here:

Robert Marve from Miami will transfer to South Florida. He will be eligible to play the year after next, though I have a feeling he'll be stuck behind B.J. Daniels. We shall see, though.

Oklahoma goes into Texas and snags 5-star DT Jamarkus McFarland.

Hmm, haven't heard of him. Interesting. I know Shannon & Co. are after Bobbie Massie and USC commit Daniel Campbell.
