As for Hodges, it doesn't bother me. It happens. We still have a pretty good class, with some guys I definitely think are under the radar.

Hodges bothered me because he changed his commitment before even going to an Official Visit for that new school.

It's not as bad as Braz or Desmond Scott who orchestrated these huge press conferences and stunts committing to RU and then backing out a few weeks later.

He really liked Alabama but the numbers didn't allow us to recruit him very hard. If Trent Richardson didn't exist, or committed elsewhere, I feel like Williams would be Bama bound.


Rutgers got a good one in him, congrats.

4* QB Raymond Cotton has decommitted from Auburn.

Texas recruit Garrett Gilbert was moved up to the top QB ranking on the ESPN 150, ahead of Matt Barkley. I guess winning the ESPN Gatorade player of the year had something to do with it.

I think the only thing keeping Barkley ahead of Gilbert on the rivals ranking is the fact that Barkley is a USC recruit, but Gilbert has outplayed him and also seems to project better imo...although the kid Barkley is obviously a real good prospect also.

these rankings are very overrated anyway, but why they rank certain players where they are is interesting.
