That ball is heading left! It looks like it would have been wide left! A block was better.

Re: 2009 Alabama Crimson Tide

We need the off week BAD.

Our team is tired after playing a top 10 game with VT, an upstart Arkansas, a pissed off Ole Miss, a salty South Carolina, an 11 AM game in Lexington, and a huge rivalry game vs Tennessee.

I expect this off week replenishes our team and we give a more complete performance at home versus a bitter rival in LSU.

May see gameday in town for the huge game against LSU.

Re: 2009 Alabama Crimson Tide

So the 2010 SEC schedules are complete. And the SEC can go straight. to. hell.

SIX of our eight conference opponents have a BYE WEEK before they play us. WTF man? That's unreal. Saban can't be happy with Slive about that. It's Roy Kramer all over again.

Only Florida and Arkansas DON'T get a bye week before us. Throw in Penn State as an OOC opponent and a road trip to tar heel country(to play Duke, but still..)...and should we go 12-0, give us the crystal ball no questions.

**** you SEC. That's ridiculous. Breaking in a new defense with that schedule will be rough. Thank the sweet Lord we don't get that schedule in '11 when we have 2 of the most difficult road games known to man in Florida and Penn State. Might play 4 top 12 teams that season..

Yeah I was just looking at that schedule a few minutes ago. It is brutal no doubt. Also, it'll be another year of playing 8 games (including 5 SEC games in a row) before the bye. It's gonna be rough.

I think gameday is going to be at Air Force next week when Bama plays LSU. I thought I saw that posted somewhere. SOmethign to do with Veterans day and Air Force playing Army. But of course that is always subject to change.

Yeah that's what I heard as well.

Kind of sucks, but it's no biggie since it just would be another distraction.

Re: 2009 Alabama Crimson Tide

I don't know about you guys, but I was happy to see Texas throttle OSU. Now they'll be the #2 team. Should be some good motivation this week for them to hear all the talks about Florida and Texas. I hope we come out and destroy LSU. We've owed them an *** kicking for 6 years now.

We are Alabama!

When was the last time that Alabama had back to back 9-0 starts? Try the 1973-1974 seasons! Roll Tide!

Ingram's lead continues to grow in Heisman poll:

http://blog.al.com/tide-source/2009/...s_to_grow.html

Quote:
TUSCALOOSA - Coming off another big performance in a big game, Alabama sophomore running back Mark Ingram increased his lead in a respected Heisman Trophy poll.

Ingram received nine of 13 first-place votes and leads the Heismanpundit.com poll with 55 points. That's three more first-place votes and seven more points than he had last week.

And that gives him a 26-point lead. This week, he leads Houston quarterback Case Keenum. Last week, Florida quarterback Tim Tebow was in second place, 21 points behind Ingram.

Ingram ran for 144 yards and had another 30 yards receiving in third-ranked Alabama's 24-15 victory over ninth-ranked LSU. He now has gained 712 of his 1,148 yards against four ranked teams. He's averaging 7.1 yards per carry in those games against Virginia Tech (150 yards), Ole Miss (172), South Carolina (246) and LSU.

This is the fourth consecutive week Ingram has led the poll, but it isn't his biggest lead. Two weeks ago, he also received nine first-place votes and led Notre Dame quarterback Jimmy Clausen by 30 points.

Ingram has four games left before Heisman votes are due: Saturday at Mississippi State, Nov. 21 vs. Tennessee-Chattanooga, Nov. 27 at Auburn and Dec. 5 vs. top-ranked Florida in the Southeastern Conference championship game.

Each week, Heismanpundit.com polls a panel of 13 Heisman Trophy voters, who vote for five players each. A first-place vote is worth five points, a second-place vote is worth four, etc.

Ingram increased his lead in a poll of 15 ESPN experts. With 10 first-place votes, he has 65 points. No other player has more than two first-place votes. Ingram leads Keenum by 25 points and Tebow by 34. Last week, Clausen ranked second, 14 points behind Ingram.

Ingram remains atop of a ranking of CBSSports.com experts. He leads Keenum and Texas quarterback Colt McCoy.

No Alabama player has won a Heisman Trophy.
