I hope Fanney comes to UNA. I want them to win a chapionship while I go there. That would be nice.

Looks like he skipped out, and made his decision known.

I think both state schools had pretty good recruiting weekends.

Chris Jackson is gone to Georgia Tech.

Brian Vogler should be going public with his commitment to Alabama on Wednesday. Corey Grant is apparently going to announce on Thursday. Still not sold that he's picking us over Florida.

I think a few people did, most didn't really think this weekend was going to be huge. It was thought it was going to be one of our bigger weekends, but it was not really thought of as a HUGE weekend, at least that's what I gathered from the talk on itat prior to the weekend. It was solid nevertheless, though.

You think Auburn's out of it with Corey? I have no idea where he will choose, but I think he has visited Auburn too many weekends for us to be out of it.

Kiss of death. Bama will now go 6-6, more random sanctions will pop up, and Saban will get caught pulling a DuBose. SI curse conquers all.

Alabama was recruiting DJ as a RB, so him picking Auburn today is probably an indication Grant is going to Bama.

You guys were all over that weekend. Every board I went to (including this one) Auburn fans were hyping this up. There was supposed to be commits in the double digits, including a couple of 5*s. Now, people tried to curb their enthusiasm when the possibility of it being just a rumor made up by rival fans started making the rounds, but for it to be called anything outside of a disappointment is simply spin. Or are you trying to tell me what you got this past weekend is what you were expecting when you said the weekend was going to end up nicely for Auburn?

That's taking nothing away from the recruits you got either, because I am sure they are fine players, especially Howard(who I am sure would have jumped on an Alabama offer if he had gotten one). But to go from expecting around 12 commits including a couple of the best to actually getting two lower rated 3*s and coincidentally landing an FSU castoff around the same time had to be a letdown. That's just not "solid" with the expectations people had; it would have been solid had it not been hyped at all.

And yes, Stars and Stripes was the name of the weekend. That's what it was being called. The stars were the caliber of athletes they were getting and the stripes was for the tigers. I thought it was a pretty clever name myself, especially considering the theme of July in America.
