Re: 2009 Alabama Crimson Tide

Meet Alabama's 2009 version of Mark Ingram...i.e. the true freshman RB who will have a chance at 1,000 yards as the #2 guy...

Trent Richardson is gonna be one bad mofo at Alabama.

It's an advertisement with part of our fight song in it, it's not really a pathetic stunt, every university does advertisements.

On the subject of not playing UCLA, just about every Auburn fan I know would love to have a big time non-conference game in the Georgia Dome, 2010 just isn't the year. We already had Clemson on the schedule, one real tough non-conference game plus our SEC schedule seems to be the best bet right now. That's pretty much common protocol nowadays in the SEC.

Re: 2009 Alabama Crimson Tide

Its an ad for the football program in the heart of Mobile(an area that Alabama dominates in recruiting). Lame.

Anyways, back to Alabama football..Jerrell Harris looks like a beast.

Little recruiting note...

DJ Howard was rumored to be close to a commitment to Auburn as early as this weekend BUT, he's now going to camp at Alabama and may get an offer. If he does, we're in the driver's seat.

That's been the word. The kid has been a bammer fan all his life, and has said he gets an offer it would be tough to turn down.

Its the fact that they actually put Choose Auburn, atleast thats what makes it pathetic in my eyes.

Rapp Sheet : Exciting and sad: I am leaving The News to become Patriots beat reporter for the Boston Herald

Quote:
I'm sure there are a lot of you who know this already thanks to our friend Twitter... but my time at The Birmingham News is coming to an end.
Recently, I accepted the job of lead Patriots beat reporter for The Boston Herald.

I've made it pretty clear how much I love this place -- the paper, the people, the job, the South. And obviously, I'll miss all you guys who come here day after day in the tens (and sometimes hundreds) of thousands and say what you think.

But moving to Boston, with such a large media market, in the city where I was born, to cover an NFL team... it's an opportunity I could not pass up.

I would have hated to leave this intensely loyal fan base and readership for one that pales by comparison. Thankfully, New Englanders clearly hang with Alabama fans in terms of devotion.

In a few weeks, I'll be trading Nick Saban for his buddy Bill Belichick, and it should be an experience In the meantime, I'll continue to work extremely hard to bring you the Crimson Tide-related news you crave.

And when I'm gone, trust that The News will put its UA beat in good hands.
