We aren't recruiting the state of AL as hard this year. The in-state talent is down from the last 2 years. You realize 8 of our 13 current commits are from out of state right? And of the in-state guys, you have a 5-star and three 4-star guys.
I've never downgraded bama's recruiting, except for calling Milliner a bit overrated. I know Saban knows how to recruit and is good at it.

I am still surprised there is no acknowledgment of how Auburn's done so far either.

It just seems like the delusional bammer mentality. "Oh, we didn't land him. We must not have wanted him because EVERY player we want we get, and if they commit somewhere else they must not have had a real offer."

That mentality is about as arrogant as it gets, and it seems to be prevalent.

Just because you don't have as many commits from Alabama you say that you aren't recruiting Alabama as hard. Yeah, I'm sure Saban decided to stop recruiting as hard in Alabama just as Chizik came in with a brand new energized staff. That makes total sense!

The shredding of the Cheese happened way before he got a couple of recruits, in fact I seem to remember some Aub fans doing their share.

Also, stop reaching with the "start getting some competition". You got some solid verbals, that's fine, congrats, but competition? Come on, be serious. CNS is pulling in a top 3 class, all without rented limos and throwing Charmin up a tree.

Lol, is that what you're holding your breath for? Acknowledgment of how Auburn has done so far? You're surprised that no one here is giving Cheese props on his great recruiting? Really? Wow. Okay, here goes.

Until Richardson committed, Auburn was doing poorly. They were barely cracking 50 in the team rankings. They were getting smoked by CNS and frankly still are. They managed to get the fanbase riled up by putting their coaches in a limo with an Auburn sticker on it (even though the only commit to come out of that was Sanders to Bama).

They got said fanbase even more in a frenzy when they took some kids to throw toilet paper around (even though that prompted the top CB in the nation to commit to Bama). Now that Richardson and White commited to them, things look better. Happy?

That's because you're getting solid, but not great guys. When you land guys like Trent Richardson, Julio Jones, BJ Scott, DeMarcus Milliner, Dre Kirkpatrick, Nico Johnson, Jerrell Harris, etc....then maybe we'll give you a "nice commit" five. But even then, I doubt it.

Its not that we didn't want him, its just we know Saban can get someone just as good, and better in some cases. We didn't get Jawara White? That's cool, we'll just get CJ Mosley then. Didn't get Jeremy Richardson? Fine, we'll get Garry Peters. You get the idea..

Arrogance is earned. Nick Saban earned by pulling two of the top classes in the country the last 2 years.

The in-state talent is down this year. Ask anyone who follows recruiting and they'll tell you that. Because of this, Alabama is going elsewhere for talent. That's a fact.

. Excessive hubris usually doesn't end well. Good luck!

Ignoring the past doesn't either.

There a reason you're in the Alabama thread trying to argue with us?

Until Saban translates that into something tangible on the field (SEC or National Titles), none of it matters. I know things are looking up for 'Bama and Nick's doing a great job, but it isn't like you guys are the defending champs or something. Arrogance is earned? I don't think they've earned it just yet.

I'm referring to arrogance in recruiting. Which is what the kid is pissed about us not acknowledging in this thread.

Dominating our rivals is good enough for me. Saban is doing a fine job, and if he does win a championship that'll be great too.

Your continuous references to the past seem to highlight some unrest you might have for the future? But I'm no physcologist.

What part of Cheez-it has to prove his worth on the field do you not understand. You coming in our thread, and running your mouth because Auburn has picked up a couple of decent players is pathetic. Thats a sign of unrest.
