I'd like the inside story on Mr. Hall.

Never seemed to get on the same page with CNS and as more and more talent came in, it became less and less worth trying to get him to buy in. Good luck to him though, he has the talent.

Ok, so was wondering if someone Roll Tide fans could give me a rundown on this years team. I'm using them in the OS PS3 NCAA 10 Online Dynasty..Hows the QB & RB situation? How bout WR after Jones? What about the LB Core...
One thing is for certain, you should have a very nice defense to work with. LB core is as good as any. I have no clue how the team will be rendered in the game though so, who knows.

I'm sure you could probably guess.

QB's will be as good as JPW, slightly better. Don't expect a 90 OVR but somewhere around 85 or 86.

RB's are stacked, but young. Ingram will be an 88 or 89. Trent Richardson is one of the top FR in the country and should be an 84 or 85.

WR's...ehhh. After Julio...Maze might be an 85 or 86. McCoy might be the same. WR's aren't our strength, but when you have a solid running game and Julio Jones, you're good to go.

Defense should be outstanding. Rolo should be a 94 or above at LB. Hightower an 88-90 at LB. Cody a 92-94 on DL. Arenas an 88-90 at DB. Jackson an 87-89 at DB. Depth is the key. Our starting 11 is great, but we've also got quality back-ups at LB and DB.

Arenas at PR and KR will be a 99 easily. We've also got a solid TE in Colin Peek. He'll likely be an 86-88.

Re: 2009 Alabama Crimson Tide

I've watched a few of the '08 games recently and I've noticed something..

While Rashad Johson was the leader of our secondary...Rolo was the leader of the front seven as a true sophomore. He would call the plays and call the audibles every time. Our front seven was our strength last season. That leads me to think our defense doesn't miss a beat in '09. Our secondary was average last year. Johnson was a liability at corner and I think Zo Lawrence and Dre Kirkpatrick will fill his spot nicely. Arenas will have a huge year as he was still learning the position last season. I'm really hoping Woodall can be a leader in the secondary. If he can, we'll be great. If not, teams that love to place will do so with ease yet again.

Awesome, thanks man...Sounds like they'll be a fun team to run with...

Re: 2009 Alabama Crimson Tide

Husker I hope you're right about McElroy, and he does turn out to be better than JPW.

I'm concerned about our offense. Losing two starting tight ends, 3 starters off the OL, a starting QB, and a very good running back is a lot to overcome! We really need a #2 receiver to step up, and take some of the pressure off of Julio. Maze is a home run hitter with blazing speed, but he is inconsistent. He had way too many dropped balls during A-day. Hopefully he'll improve. Considering the fact that McElroy seems to have stepped up at QB finding solid replacements for the guys that we loss off the OL is the #1 priority for the offense, and will be critical to this team's success.

The defense should be improved. The front 7 is very solid, and will have quality depth behind them. That's a luxury that we haven't been able to enjoy much lately, and we were damn lucky that we didn't lose any linebackers to injury considering how thin we were at the position last season. If the 09 defense does have a weakness it is in the secondary, and Rashad Johnson's knowledge of Saban's scheme will be missed because he was the primary signal caller for the secondary last year. I've heard through the grapevine that the defense spent a considerable amount of time during the Spring working on stopping the Spread Offense. If I was going to attack Alabama's defense I'd spread them out.

Considering all of the players we loss off the offense I've got a feeling that the defense may have to win some games for us. I'm cautiously optimistic heading into 09.

I'm looking forward to seeing how they're rendered too. Hightower is a freak, and I think that he might even end up being better than Ro.

I'm ready for some NCAA football!

Blast from the past!

#8 Alabama defeats #1 USC in Memorial Coliseum. "Final Gasp"

Wayne Hamilton applys the pressure, Barry Krauss seals the deal. Krauss is one of all my time favorites, and he would cement his legacy against Penn State in the following season.
Keith Jackson was the offical voice of college football IMO. He really digs the girl moving to, and from her seat.

Blast from the past!

1991 Iron Bowl: Vintage Stallings

This is one of my favorite Iron Bowls. It had many memorable moments, and players. Kevin Turner's long run after catching the ball out of backfield, David "the Deuce" Palmer's touchdown run, Tank Williamson's 71 yard punt, a young quarterback named Jay Barker, Eric Curry, Robert Stewart..this was an exciting game from an exciting time in Alabama's football history. I just wish the picture quality was better.
