Re: Marcus Jordan Causes School Adidas' Contract

From what I heard here in Chicago sports radio, Marcus told UCF when they were recruiting him that he was going to wear nike.

UCF then told Jordan he could.

If this true, then UCF should have no beef.

I'm positive the Air brand had a silent agreement w/UCF beforehand.
That could lead to a very fun lawsuit by Adidas for malicious interference of a contract.

It'd have to be proven. UCF is so low on the visibility totem pole, I doubt anyone would think it was worth getting lawyers involved.

For a regular guy yes but in his case no. Doors are going to be wide open because he is Michael Jordans kid.

By all accounts Stanford was never really an option to begin with because of location. Mom is a earshot from Jeff at Illinois and Mike is a hour plane ride from Marcus plus his best friend is also at UCF. He committed less then a week after his official visit. It was the only official visit he made.

Because if Adidas lets this go their sponsorship would essentially be worthless.

Re: Marcus Jordan Causes School Adidas' Contract

If this guy wasn't Michael Jordon's son would anyone care? What happened to team philosophy? I don't understand just because your Michael Jordons son you deserve some sense of entitlement and you have to get your way, when the rest of the team was following suite. If I was a teammate of his, I would be pissed for him wanting to be an outsider. It doesn't matter if Adidas was in the last year of their contract if the team is doing it, why should you be treated any different.

NO.

That would be Jeff Jordan. He walk on to the team at Illinois and earned a scholarship.

Marcus, who seems to a bit better than his brother, is the one being referred here.
