Re: Steelers NFL Head Coach 09 Dynasty

Great opening win. Parker did extremely well. Roster looks like it has a fairly decent amount of depth for a 1st year team

Yeah,I didn't want to go overboard with stuff. What I found difficult was that since I'm a Steelers fan, I had to not just stick with players because I like them. Thanks for following me. I'm gonna check out your thread later this evening.

week 2 @ Cleveland

Score: Steelers 27, Browns 24

Stat Leaders

Passing
Pit: B. Roethlisberger 21 of 33 for 339 yards, 1 TD, 1 int
Cle: D. Anderson 18 of 24 for 251 yards, 1 TD, 0 int

Cle: J. Lewis 33 att 92 yards, 1 TD

Receiving
Pit: S. Holmes 6 rec 99 yards, 0 TD
Cle: B. Edwards 6 rec 73 yards, 1 TD

Defense
Pit: J. Harrison 10 tackles
Cle: D. Jackson 12 tackles 1 sack

Good game. first play of 2nd half was a 97 yard Kickoff return by Ike Taylor for a TD. Also, Aaron Smith got injured during the first part of the game, and Tony Bake did admirably, amassing 6 tackles and 1 sack

good thing I got Tony Bake. Aaron Smith is out 1 to 4 months with a separated shoulder. Also, Lawrence Timmons has a broken arm, which should have him out 2 to 5 weeks. I may sign a few people now.

cut SS t. carter and fs T. mcdonald

signed LB K. Fox and RE B. Keisel

Re: Steelers NFL Head Coach 09 Dynasty

That's why I always find it hard to play with my favorite team. I get blinded by my loyalty to them and I hate to trade any of them away, even if I know it will better my squad.

QFT on both as im exactly the same. Always fork out cash for my favourites to keep them, which often leads to cap trouble

Re: Steelers NFL Head Coach 09 Dynasty

week 3 @ Philadelphia

Score: Eagles 21, Steelers 20

A disappointing game. Jeff Reed missed a 43 yard field goal with 31 seconds left that would have won the game. Big Ben got hurt in the first quarter, Tony Bake, James Farrior, and Lamaar Woodley got hurt early in the 4th quarter. Jim Sorgi, as the Steelers backup, did better than I expected. His lone TD pass was a 76 yard throw to Arman Shields

Stat Leaders

passing
Pit: J. Sorgi 12 of 20 for 195 yards, 1 TD, 1 int
Phi: K. Kolb 24 of 39 for 350 yards, 3 TD, 1 int

Rushing
Pit: W. Parker 25 att 74 yards, o TD
Phi: B. Westbrook 11 att -12 yards (yes, negative 12 yards), O td

Receiving
Pit: S. Holmes 5 rec 65 yards, 0 TD
Phi: R. Brown 6 rec 139 yards, 1 TD

Defense
Pit: J. Farrior 8 tackles, 1 sack
Phi: J. Kearse 8 tackles 2 sacks

Injuries
LoLB L. woodley - strained hamstring, out 2-5 weeks
QB B. Roethlisberger - Strained Groin muscle, out 1-3 weeks
MLB J. Farrior - lacerated hand, 4-9 days

other injurines
C B. Romberg - High Ankle Sprain, out 1-3 weeks
