I agree it is a great fight, but it is not a PPV fight. Williams has looked "okay" in his last few fights, and who has Canelo fought? It should be a great action fight but I shouldn't have to pay $60 to watch it, and I probably wont.

If Williams can Canelo to turtle up and counter I got Williams by SD victory. Though Canelo being the current flavor of the month for Golden Boy going to the cards can be dangerous for Williams if the fight is close.

I feel Williams is feeling better since beating the gentlemen that Ko'ed an unprepared and out of shape Kirkland.

Looking forward to more Canelo, don't see myself paying for this fight though.

Canelo is going to give Williams every opportunity to hit him. Williams need to work everything off his jab. He can keep Canelo at a safe distance with it and let him in when he wants to hit him with power shots. But Williams won't work off his jab, and he will fall into Canelo which takes away his height and reach advantage, so he will be right there for Canelo to hit him.

PW never learning how to use his height will once again cost him this fight. His 6'2 frame, his reach and high punch output should be as difficult a combination of skills to beat that there is out there, but he doesn't use it to his advantage. Lara kicked him all around the ring all night long, got robbed of the victory, but he did enough, along with the Martinez fights to put the word out about Paul. He won his last fight but wasn't all that impressive and any serious opponent has the book on him and already knows that at some point if they wait him out, he will get careless and give them a shot to touch him.

They had the Golden Boy promoter guy on Lampley's show saying that Alverez would fight on September 15th. I didn't know it would be someone of William's (slightly diminished) caliber.

Don't count Williams out of this fight. his length and punch output can be a nightmare for any opponent. question is, which paul williams will show up?
