Does that mean the fight is called off?

Thats crazy man..last one I thought would have been on roids..if I am not mistaken I think the title gets vacated and Khan fights another contender for the vacated title..probably at a later date..

Damn. If this is true, this will definitely be a major blow to his credibility. After the debacle from the reffing in the first fight, and now this. I really hope this id some type of mess up and the fight goes on to plan.

According to Khan the fight is still on but judging by NSAC past history in regards to admission of banned substance use there is a good chance this fight doesn't go down...

Peterson's excuse is that he tested positive due to a one-time treatment for an undisclosed medical situation...The physician who treated him has sent over a detailed report to VADA and the NSAC...I highly doubt this will sway the NSAC to license the fight...

Very disappointing. Fight is canceled.

I want to believe the best because I like Peterson, but every guy that gets caught always has some cockamamie excuse for how it happened, and it's almost always BS. Too bad; was a fight I was really looking forward to.

But now I'm looking forward to Julio Caesar Chavez Jr. vs. Andy Lee. I think that has the potential to be a barn-burner...

Peterson admitted to taking testosterone in their first fight as well.
He claims it's to correct a condition where his body doesn't produce enough testosterone.

Give me a break.

Peterson should have to cover all of Khan's training expenses. And if they do fight again, he should take 50% less of the cut.

Re: Lamont Peterson tests positive for banned substance

This sucks. Living in the DMV area for most of my life. I loved the Peterson brothers. DC loves their fighters. It is the only place that still wanted to see Rahman box after he embarrassed himself in the rematch with Holyfield. I am saddened and upset by this news. Peterson seemed like a genuine good guy. I was horse after the first fight with Kahn and even though I thought the ref did Peterson a favor with the 2nd point deduction I was proud that the DC area again had a champion.

I'm at a loss for words though, as I know what should happen, but the DC fight fan in me can't say it. Damn it, Lamont!
