The greatest sports video game teams of all time. This could mean a lot of things to a lot of people. Would it be the best team you ever had for online play? Would it just be an amazing team in the game from top to bottom? Was it just an all time favorite?

I'll break my choices down by category.

Best NFL Video Game Team:
I never played Madden 2008, but I would guess after some roster updates that the Patriots would have to be in contention. But my pick will be surprising.
Tecmo Super Bowl III: Dallas Cowboys. This was in the midst of their great run and they had it all. A stifling defense, a top notch QB, good WR's, and Emmitt Smith who was only surpassed by Barry Sanders in that game. The Detroit Lions were also amazing in this game but they didn't have the defense the Cowboys did.

Best NCAA Football Video Game Team:
NCAA 2000: Florida State Seminoles
- The defense was insanely good, Travis Minor was incredibly overrated at RB, and Peter Warrick was a golden god.
NCAA 2006: USC Trojans
- Addition of the impact player system + Reggie Bush = Video Game God.

Best NBA Video Game Team:
NBA 2k5(?): Los Angeles Lakers with Shaq, Kobe, Karl Malone, and Gary Payton.

Best CBB Video Game Team:
College Hoops 2k6: Memphis Tigers
- Darius Washington was more or less Allen Iverson, Rodney Carney was lights out, and their big men were rebounding and shot blocking machines. I have never seen a team used more in online play than I did with this team.

Best MLB Video Game Team:
2002 Arizona Diamondbacks
- All they needed was Randy Johnson and Curt Schilling with a good offense.

Best NHL Video Game Team:
Any Pittsburgh Penguin team with Mario Lemieux and Jaromir Jagr.

The St. Louis Rams from Madden 2002. That's back when Warner and Faulk were both MVP caliber players, along with two great wideouts (Holt and Bruce) and a great offensive line and a pretty good defense.

The Bulls on Tecmo Super NBA Basketball, the Lakers on NBA Live 2000, the Bills, 49ers, and Giants on Tecmo Super Bowl, the Arlington Rangers or Atlanta Braves on MLPBA baseball (SNES).

I had NBA Inside Drive 02 and the Raptors and Kings each had amazing teams

Raptors SL

Alvin Williams, Vince Carter, Tracy McGrady, Antonio Davis, Hakeem Olajuwan, and a nice bench as well

Kings SL

Mike Bibby, Doug Christie, Peja Stojakovic, Chris Webber in his prime, Vlade Divac, and a nice bench as well

Instead of teams, how about players?

- Bo Jackson in TB
- QB #12 in TSB
- Tom Chambers in Lakers vs Celtics (he could dunk from the 3-point line)
- Vick in whatever year he was on the cover of Madden
- Okoye in TSB when he was in excellent condition
- Roenick - NHL 94
- Bones Jackson in Mutant League Football
- Paste in Bases Loaded

They werent a great team in real life but the colorado rockies on triple play on sega genisis. Dont remember the year but the had larry walker, vinny castilla, andres galeraga, dante bichette, eric young. Cant remember who else but all their hit power was really high because they played half there games in denver with that thin air so they hit a lot of homers. You could smash teams with them on there
