IS this not the glitchiest year ever for basketball games? Both games just have have some nasty glitches....they even share some! lol

I just dont remember another year like this....

deformed players
invisible players
games loading w\o crowds
cheerleaders staying on the floor during play

etc....I know im missing a ton...but this is madness lol

I hope 2K doesn't have those issues. With everything they are trying to fix you just never now. Wasn't there an issue last year about not being able to back anyone down in the post after the patch?

24th I started a thread like this yesterday almost to the word but decided not to click post..lol

Anyhow, both games have presented us with some dog meat inside the goodies

Im tired of seeing the words great and greatest thrown around here like its some kind of new internet marketing word.

Its sad that the less powerful old gen games didnt present this kind of a problem consistently.

Thats how I feel! How can older last gen games, who did not have the benefits of a patching system, not have half of the problems that NEWER technology present? I would have thought that 5years into Next-Gen, we would be free from these glitches that have been right at home in these games....w/o a proper fix

I blam us. We are in a world of bugs/glitches/patches and it started a couple of years ago. IMO, companies put out the game and they no we're going to find them. So they wait and put out a patch like they did us a favor. But, again, my opinon we did this.

I rememeber Triple Play had a left handed glitch were no leftys were hitting HR's. Ever since then as soon as a game comes out people are asking for a patch, this is a glitch, patch, bug, etc...

IMO we put so much pressure on companies to deliver a "perfect" product that we did this. And IMO, some companies don't have the same level of testers as they once did. I say some but, I'm talking about companies that develope sports games.

How many time do you hear someone saying none sports games have a glitch or they need to be patched? Games like COD, GOW, Halo, I could go on and on but, I'll stop tthere. It's becasue they don't release games every year. All of the truley great games are developed for a couple of years before we get to play them. It may take them a year before they finish the game but, they have beta testers looking for bugs/glitches or things that need to be patched.

Sports games come out every year. Who's going to test these games? I'll tell you... IMO it's us. That's why there are usually more than one patch that gets released.

Sorry for the rant I had to get that off my chest. Back to your regular scheduled programming...

Well, I play 2K10 on the PC. I haven't started a season yet, but so far I don't really have any issues with the game. It's annoying that I can't save the coaching settings and stuff, but it's not that bad. I created my own sliders, edited my rosters and I have a great time with the game. Patch or not, the game is great for me.

The two biggies for me so far have been:

1. Freezing in 2K10. My game locked up numerous times...that's completely farcical and 2K not addressing it was poor. I almost sold the game back. Came within one more freeze of giving up.

2. The one I am dreading...the NBA Live 10 "no over time" bug. That's just 100% not acceptable.

I'm on the verge of putting these two on the shelf until they can fix some issues. It's killing my bball video gaming this year. Come on EA/2k. Get your acts together.
