Live/2k arena differences.

Anyone out there, that has both, notice any differences in the courts/art/crowd/yadayada?

So far I noticed 2k has the "Going To Work" banner in Detroit. Not in Live.

There were more, but I forgot.

I suck, I know

Re: Live/2k arena differences.

After playing the 2k demo, it seems that 2k's floor is bigger than Live's. Live however, has better court textures IMO (wood, logos)

Re: Live/2k arena differences.

This is one general arena difference, and I just mentioned it in another thread, but the crowd in 2K this year is really underwhelming. They added some logic that has the crowd excitement build when a fast break develops (which is cool), but it seems they also removed sustained excitement. If I hit three consecutive three pointers at home in a close game during the 4th quarter, there's a chance the first make will get a roar, the second make - nothing, and the third - a gentle ease into loud noises. Too often an exciting play is met with a delayed response or a simple shrug from the crowd.

I know you probably meant specific arenas' likeness comparisons, but your title was somewhat vague, so I jumped on it.

Re: Live/2k arena differences.

both games missed the very top-side section of the United Center (bulls' arena).

Re: Live/2k arena differences.

2K's arenas are more 'detailed'. They got a lot of the small details right.

Live's arenas feel more 'alive' though.

2Ks crowd can be good at times...especially down the stretch of games. But the crowds can also be very dull. It's kind of weird. One moment they're going insane...then they drop right out.

Live's crowds are very good...and even better for the playoffs.

Re: Live/2k arena differences.

2k has a closer resemblance of Arco Arena (Sacramento Kings) compared to Live. Live has a nice looking floor, but the arena looks off. Live adds another level to the suite section or whatever that section is called.

Re: Live/2k arena differences.

The Q arena itself looks a lot better in Live than 2K. No clue what the blank spot next to the benches is in 2K. Looks like they forgot to finish the arena.
