Basketball (Other)>Why do you play basketball videogames?
CX1329 01:57 PM 12-18-2008
I play them because I love the sport of basketball in general, I love College basketball and I love the NBA. So, it's only natural for me to wish to imitate what I watch through videogaming.

Moreover, I play basketball games because I'm a frustrated basketball player. The furthest I'll go in basketball is the local Uni team. :-) I'm too short to play 4 out of 5 positions (5'8") and too slow to play PG decently. So, basketball videogames allow me to do what I otherwise couldn't. [Reply]

I've asked myself that question many times but never was able to answer it. It just gives me joy and I like the sport. Can't think of anything else. [Reply]

I like most sports and have enough knowledge to handle myself with videogame game gurus and statisticians. [Reply]

Because everything that I can't do on the court, I can do in the game. [Reply]

I love the story man. Who steps up, who makes the clutch shot. I know they are only imaginary players but damn if I don't get emotionally tied to my game players.

Also because no one in my damn town plays ball in real life. [Reply]

I think he means no one plays ball for real. Meaning its prolly just a one on one game or dribble show or something like that. I am going through the same thing at my city. Everyone that is good is to lazy or to broke to play. The gyms all cost to play here. Anyway to the topic. I used to play pro overseas and because of the above problem, I play because of the challenge and to kind of relive the glory days. Hope that makes sense. [Reply]
