The Road To Greatness | A Miami Heat Association

GAME: NBA 2K12
SYSTEM: XBOX 360
DIFFICULTY: SUPERSTAR
ROSTERS: ULTIMATE TRIFECTA ROSTERS
QUARTER LENGTH: 10 MINUTES
SLIDERS: ULTIMATE Trifecta Sliders
SEASON LENGTH: 82 GAMES - WILL PLAY ALL
DRAFT CLASSES: ULTIMATE TRIFECTA DC 2012 & 2013. 2K GENERATED CLASSES BEYOND THAT

To anyone wondering, I restarted my Miami Heat association because I wanted to use a more accurate draft class and roster set. The other one I downloaded was very inaccurate and it would have been annoying playing with it for years to come. I figured might as well restart 11 games in rather than 11 seasons. Much appreciated, I hope you check this out!

Heat Sign C Greg Oden

MIAMI SIGNS INJURY PLAGUED GREG ODEN, SENDS PITTMAN TO D-LEAGUE

Miami, FL -- The only question mark on this Miami Heat squad is the center position. They are set at point guard with Mario Chalmers. Spoelstra told reporters, "We love Mario, he is going to be running point for us for a long time." All that is missing in this "puzzle" is a big man who can grab boards and play defense. Well the Heat may have found their missing piece, at least a temporary solution as they sign free agent C Greg Oden to a 1yr/$5.76M deal. Oden was the #1 overall pick in the 2007 NBA draft, but has had a disappointing career thus far due to injuries. The Heat hope he can stay healthy and contribute right away. Oden has been put into the starting lineup for the season opener against the New York Knicks.

11/1/11 - Miami Heat sign C Greg Oden to 1yr/$5.76M deal

11/1/11 - Miami Heat send C Dexter Pittman to Skyforce (D-League)

November 2nd, 2011 - Heat @ Knicks Recap

MSG SHOOTOUT
WADE STEPS UP IN SEASON OPENING WIN

Wade gets a nice screen, and drives to the basket for the easy dunk. (top)
James scored 32 before fouling out in the 4th, Bosh scored 17 including this and-one dunk. (right)

Heat 123, Knicks 116
By: Rob Roy, nba.com
Posted Wednesday November 2nd, 2011

THE FACTS: Dwyane Wade scored 33, and LeBron James added 32 as the Heat would defeat the Knicks at Madison Square Garden on wednesday in their season opener.

LeBron fouled out with 3:13 left in the 4th, with the game separated by only 4 points. That's when Wade would put his superhero costume on and save the day, scoring 12 of his 33 points (8-8 FT in 4th). He answered every basket that the Knicks scored, going back and forth with Carmelo Anthony who finished with 38 on the day.

With about 0:30 seconds left in the game, the Knicks had the ball looking to decrease the 5 point Heat lead. Melo would drive down the lane, get past Wade and go up for the basket. But Miami's newest addition Greg Oden would deny his shot, and the Heat came up with the ball forcing the Knicks to foul. Wade went on to make both free throws, putting the game out of reach.

THE STAT: The reason New York stayed in this game was the 45 free throw attempts, of which 32 were made.

TURNING POINT: This game went back and forth until the fourth quarter when Greg Oden blocked Anthony, and forced the Knicks to foul. This play would put the Heat out of reach.

HOT: The Big three for Miami had an awesome season debut, combining for 82 points, and shooting a combined 30-47 from the field.

NOT: New York Knicks missed 13 free throw attempts, which were crucial as the Heat won by only 7.
