Detroit is thrilled about receiving the #1 overall pick after being projected to get #6. Detroit must now decide if they will trade down to surround Jefferson with supporting players or if they will chance taking another franchise player to play by Jefferson.

Re: Return of MoTown

Key Free Agent Signings:
Dwight Howards signs a 1 year/$16.25 million with Indiana
Landry Fields signs a 1 year/$2.54 million with Phoenix
CJ Miles signs a 1 year/$1.78 million with Cleveland
Jeff Green signs a 3 year/$17.79 Million with Atlanta
Elton Brand signs a 2 year/$6.70 million with New Orleans
Jeremy Lin signs a 4 year/$31.74 million with Utah
Chris Kaman signs a 3 year/$13.38 million with Sacremento
Ramon Sessions signs a 1 year/$3.88 million with New York
Ronny Turiaf signs a 1 year/$774K with New York
Baron Davis signs a 1 year/$1.33 million with Orlando

After a long season, everyone is ready for basketball again. The Pistons have added a valuable rookie to their roster who they will hope will become a franchise star. They also had 2 2nd round selections who will hopefully become valuable role players. Dwight Howard shocked the league when he chose to sign with Indiana, but with no big market team having the cap room to sign him, and with Jameer Nelson leaving the Magic regardless of what Dwight chose to do, Dwight didn't believe he had any chance of making another play off run in Orlando. Dwight believed that of the teams who had the cap room to sign him, Indiana was the only option with a chance of making it deep into the play offs. Jeremy Lin chose Utah to try and get away from some of the media and because he believes they have some excellent young pieces who he hopes to help lead to a NBA title.

How are you trading '13, '14, and '15 draft picks when it only gives you 2 years worth?
