Boston, Ma- The Bobcats open their season against the 2008 NBA Champions, the Boston Celtics. While the Celtics did not repeat last season as the NBA Champion, they are returning their big 3, along with Rondo and the newly accquired Rasheed Wallace to add depth to this solid team.
It will be an uphill battle for a team known for starting seasons off very slow. Points are going to be hard to come by as both teams are known for their hard nose defense.
The matchup that the Bobcats will try and focus on will be how Boris Diaw can handle Kevin Garnett. Garnett is arguably the best power forward in the game, and can beat you in so many ways. He can take it to the hoop, has great post presence, and has a mid range jumper that can be deadly.
Another key factor will be bench play. DJ Augustin and Flip Murray will be asked to play pivotal roles for scoring off the bench. Diop could be needed as a factor as well if Tyson Chandler gets into foul trouble.
Boston is coming off a loss in their last game, and they look to rebound with a win in their home opener. It will not be easy.
