Before even getting to enjoy a big win of GU, Seton Hall comes in and kills the buzz.
Up 1 with 18 seconds remaining, DJ Kennedy misses the front end of the
1-and-1 and Seton Hall comes back and drains a three to win it. That's
just SJU's season in a nutshell.

Re: Taking the Big East By [Red] Storm - CH2k9

Recruiting Recap with Coach Norm Roberts
End of season recruiting almost as gloom as regular season

With two scholarship offers on the table, it's looking as if St. John's may not get either of their two targets. Here's coach with the overview...

"It's not looking good. Plain and simple. Poncho Nardi, who we thought we had locked up early in the season, looks like he'll be staying close to home to play at Boston College. If that's true, that will be heartbreaking. Malik Boothe is a great kid and a good player, but Nardi's a player that could have changed the outlook of our squad. Hopefully he gives us a chance to sit down with him at home before signing elsewhere.

As for Erik [Domercant], he is currently 100% interested in becoming a member of the Red Storm. Problem with that is he has us #2 on his list behind Idaho. Being a kid from Washington, I could see him wanting to be a bit closer to home, but that isn't really one of his priorities from what we have gathered. Only thing giving us hope is that Idaho hasn't offered a scholarship, so with it being past the recruiting stage, we hope he signs on before opening up his recruitment once again."

-Norm Roberts, Head Coach of the St. John's Red Storm

SJU playing as if the season is over. Red Storm goes ice cold in South Bend as ND
rolls to an easy win. One game left against WVU before St. John's can end this
horrendous season. They will be home watching not only the NCAA tournament,
but the Big East tournament as well.

Rough Year for the Johnnies...i'm a lil mad that you managed to beat my Hoyas though

My 1st year was rough with Wake too. I didn't even manage to make the NIT but I had a couple of big wins that I used to springboard me into the next year where I made a Final 4 run. Hang in there homey

Thanks. There's always got to be a step back to take two steps forward, but if I lose out on both of these recruits, I'll be hurting next year too.

SJU's final regular season game ends just like most of their conference games: in
a bad loss.... at home. Senior night allowed Anthony Mason, Jr. to show the
New York natives his skills and passion for the game one last time. Time to
start thinking about next season...
