I have the game for the PS3 and was very suprised at home much I like this game. I love The Show 09, so I thought the arcade feel would be too much for me, but it wasn't.

Even though it's an "arcade" game, the scores do not get crazy. I've played 8 games into a season and the scores have been very realistic.

It is a strategy game, but not like The Show. Instead of worrying about working counts and taking pitches, now I'm trying to save up turbos and points, etc...

Agreed, while arcade, it still does the little things right for a baseball game.

Scores aren't 45-37 or anything, they really nailed the pacing and baseball feel.

first off, I love the game, graphics kill 2k9...but is there no way to play season games other than the team you select?

To answer someone else's question,I believe you have to export your player to use them in other game modes.

Though I was against it in the middle of the season I ended up buying it after it not being there to rent again and having 0 faith 2K10 will be any good or Sony will reconize the YLOD and do something about it.

So far boo no roster updates for silver and boo no trading a position player for a pitcher or the other way around. It also resets rosters upon entering season mode. Apprently there's trade mini-games (there's an option for it) and a trade power meter. The instruction book is useless so I don't know what they're about and you start with no power so I couldn't see what the mini-game was and the in game guide makes no mention of what it is. Can't edit players either.

This puts 2K9 to shame in every way possible. Except the soundtrack and commentary wich I think is fantastic in both games. Still seems to a little dumb AI base running but nowhere near as bad as in 2K9. I like how the stadium itself feels like an extra player sometimes,especially in Boston,that wall was more useful for the offense than Varitek!

Just played my first game and won 1-0. I was the Dodgers and played the Giants.

There was some offense, they had 10 hits, I had 8, just none of it ended up in runs scored. I was playing a 5 inning game, and it went to 7, I won with a walk off by Matt Kemp using the Big Hit power up.

I really like this game and am glad I bought it.
