I'd like to apologise for not getting a game in last night, I built the tables from scratch, but now that I have those as a template, it should go faster now.

A's Drop Series Opener

Athletics110000000240
Angels00120100X490

*Thanks to member_6590 for the idea of making the tables an image*

The Oakland Athletics lost their season opener to the California Angels on Monday. Geoff Zahn Pitched an excellent 7 innings, before turning it over to the bullpen. Dave stewart had a 6.35 ERA (Sorry about that in the table) and the offense could not recover from the 4 runs he gave up. The middle of the lineup for the A's was shut down, going 1 for 11 in the game. Their next game is Tuesday Night against the Angels.

Thanks! :-)

The layout is a work in progress, I'm learning as I go here. Due to the fact that I have limited time to make the changes to the tables during the day, I can ususally only post them during the night/early morning. I am gonna aim for one a night, sometimes two. Update should be comming up soon.

Also, if anyone has any critique (especially for the tables, trying to make them look as nice as possible) please feel free to let me know.

EDIT: I am making the transition from photobucket to tinypic (thanks again member_6590 for warning me of the trouble ahead with photobucket), so the images will be gone for a few minutes. Sorry for any trouble. Knight, can you click on these? [Reply]

Jackson, Angels Knock down A's

123456789RHE
Athletics000000120380
Angels11201010X6131

(These two should be flipped, my bad. There are so many things that can go wrong...)

The Athletics were again bested by the Califonia Angels in the in-state showdown. Reggie Jackson tore it up on his way to player of the game honors, hitting 2 Home Runs and driving in 3. It was a day to forget for Mike Moore, as he only made it 6 innings and gave up 5 Earned Runs. The Angels Pitching Staff, however, ruled once again, only giving up 1 Earned Run. The Athletics began to make it intersting late, but caught a tough break as an un-assisted triple play thwarted their efforts. Manager Kurecki was quoted after the game.

"The runners were going on contact, and the second baseman made an amazing catch. Nothing you can do about that. Wrong place, Wrong time."

The Athletics and Angels play game three of this four game series Wednesday, at 7:05 PM PST.

Looking good, and I like the pic and video. My only suggestion is to maybe change the color of your game totals on your boxscore. I can hardly make the white numbers out on the gray background. The rest of the tables look good.

They like that for anyone else? The numbers should be black on a white background... [Reply]

Must be the skin you use(O.S.).....I use the blue skin and get a white background with black lettering.

whitesox....I love the inclusion of the video!
I've only seen one triple play in this game...and it was on a glitch(I forget what exactly happened)....

At first I was thinking..."what the heck is he trying to chase that runner for instead of throwing for the DP?"....not realizing he had caught it on the line!

Joey....idesign....whitesox......
I'm getting the biggest kick from reading your threads. Thanks! :-)
