Preview: Texas faces off against Kansas City again in Game 3 of the 3 game set, the Rangers are looking to win their 8th straight game and second straight sweep.

Pitching Matchup: It'll be Padilla for the Rangers and Gil Meche for the Royals. Meche is coming off a one hitter and 3-1 win over Cliff Lee and the Indians, he's also retired 15 straight going to the last game. Meche has really been locked in against both righties (.125) and lefties (.105)

Royals Snap Rangers 7 Game Win Streak

Behind a strong pitching performance by Gil Meche, the Royals only needed a few runs from their offense, and Mark Teahen provided that, going 3-4, driving in two runs and scoring twice, he also had a double along with a HR in the first inning. There was good news for Texas though, Josh Hamilton had his first multi HR game of the season, hitting two of Gil Meche in the 7th & 9th innings.

Rangers lose lead late

The offense started out pretty well, but in the end the bullpen couldn't hold the lead for Brandon McCarthy. Josh Hamilton added another HR giving him #4 on the season and #3 in the past two games. Two costly errors by Elvis Andrus gave the Blue Jays the game.

Preview: Well after dropping the opener, Texas really has a tough challenge now. They face Roy Halladay, so don't be shocked if some of the key players get a day off. Halladay has been straight dominating, allowing only 17 hits in 22.2 IP and just 3 runs in that time span, while striking out 19. If the Rangers plan to do anything against him, they need to stock plenty of lefties into the lineup. Lefties hit .286 against Halladay as opposed to .146 righties hit.

Blue Jays sweep Rangers, hand out 4th straight loss

This one was in the Blue Jays hands right off the get go. Though the Rangers did get 10 hits, all of them were singles. The hitting is really struggling, we hope to change that tomorrow in Baltimore. They look like they're a half second behind said Hitting Coach Rudy Jaramillo. In the three games in Toronto, Texas could only score one run. Definitely not something you'd see with this supposed high powered offense. Texas will head onto Baltimore for a 3 game set against the Orioles who are just 2-7 at home.

Before the game, Dustin Nippert was recalled from Oklahoma City and Darren O'Day was optioned down. Nippert was 3-0 with a 3.72 ERA for the Redhawks.
