Re: Quest for 27 - New York Yankees (MLB '09)

April 6th, 2009:

Rough Outing for Sabathia, Yankees

C.C. Sabathia sputters as New York loses to Baltimore.

Yesterday's game was close, but in the end the Yankees couldn't push across enough runs, losing to the Orioles 6-5 in a AL East contest. Johnny Damon had a big game offensively, bashing a home run and driving in 2 runs. C.C. Sabathia (0-1) was the starting and losing pitcher, allowing 5 runs and 8 hits in his 6 innings of work.

The series continues tomorrow under the lights at Oriole Park, with A.J. Burnett (0-0, 0.00) going for the visiting Yankees and Koji Uehara (0-0, 0.00) taking the mound for the home team.
