Mets Win Game 3, Eye NLCS Sweep!!!!!

Already up 2-0 in NLCS, the Mets win Game 3 in enemy territory, putting Phillies on brink of elimination.

The Mets knocked off the Phillies 6-4 in Game 3 of the NLCS at Citizens Bank Park last night to widen their lead in the series to 3-0. Carlos Delgado had a big game offensively, bashing a home run and driving in 4 runs. Working 6 innings, John Maine was able to get his 1st win of the postseason, as he game up 2 runs and 10 hits in the victory.

The Mets are on the road again to take on the Phillies in Game 4 of the NLCS, giving Orlando Hernandez (1-0, 2.70) the start against Fabio Castro (1-0, 1.28).

New York Sweeps Into World Series!!!!!

Sweeping feeling for the Mets, who finish off NLCS destruction of Phillies on the road.

The visiting Mets move on to the World Series after knocking off the Phillies 12-6 in Game 4 at Citizens Bank Park last night, winning the NLCS 4-0. David Wright picked up 2 RBI's and went 2-for-4, providing the offensive spark. Orlando Hernandez worked 6 quality innings, turning the ball over to the bullpen after giving up 2 runs on 7 hits to get his 2nd win of the postseason.

Now that the NLCS is behind them, New York will get a little break before starting the World Series, as they await the outcome of the Mariners and Yankees series.
