Yankees Up 1-0 After Game 1 Win!!!!!



Away from home, Yankees jump out to 1-0 lead in ALDS with win over Tigers.

The Yankees grabbed a 1-0 lead in the ALDS following a 6-3 victory last night against the Tigers in Game 1. Morgan Ensberg drilled a pair of solo home runs in 3 at-bats to spark the offense. Chien-Ming Wang gave up 2 runs on 7 hits over 7.1 innings, but did not factor into the decision, though he does get his 1st quality start of the postseason. Mariano Rivera ended up being the victory, eschewing his usual "S" for a "W", his 1st of the postseason.

Game 2 of the ALDS is another road contest for the Yankees, who go with Andy Pettitte (0-0, 0.00), while the Tigers turn to Joel Zumaya (0-0, 0.00).

They had an awesome run going, including a 9 game win streak at one time. That was really something fun to watch as the year went on from game to game from my stand point.

Good job on the dynasty HH. I've still got about 15 games left in my season and am determined to finish. I vowed I would not buy 09 until I finish my entire 08 season.

Good season...even if it was a tough one. Also good stat layouts at the end...I really looked at em hard. Fun stuff.

Thanks guys, Sidvish, as a Broncos fan, good luck with that new avatar, hope you'll continue to use it in a few years. There shouldn't be an issue in ending your season, I have fun with this game even when I was 20-30 games out, it's just that addicting. Thanks for following, it's great to hear from you guys and hear your thoughts, as I do this for all of you to read.

Onlybygrace, thanks again for checking in, I appreciate all your kind words. Yeah, I'm digging into another season, just taking some time off and enjoying an offseason. My original intent was to take 2-3 weeks off and give some updates day-by-day, but my PC went down on me and had to miss a week or so until I picked up another one, but yeah, I'll be getting back into swinging the bats on another season of 08.
