Re: the os ladder crying, complaining thread(with a tad bit of strategy)

I'm trying to build a Buffalo Bills team (2009) and was needing some advice since I don't know the team to well, I just like the AFL uni's. So here's what I'm thinking.

G: HB = Lynch + Jackson
G:
S: Andre Reed = TO
S: Bobby Mitchell = Josh Reed (& his KR Ability would count for Roscoe Parrish's return contributions)
S:
B: Steve Grogan = Trent Edwards
B: Kavika Mitchell = OLB
B: CB
B:
B:
B:

Okay, so I need to fit Schobel (DE), Stroud (DT) & Pozluzny (MLB) but not sure as to their importance to the team. I don't need a Legend to use in their place persay, merely a suggestion as to their Tiers. And I was looking up info and saw this Jarius Bryd kid, (rookie, Safety) has 7 INTs already this season. Is this kid for real or having a good run of luck? Should he be given higher importance than the other guys listed above?

So the defense would account for 4 slots above, so I would need 1 more player of importance.

TO should be a bronze at most. He's doing nothing this year.

any suggestions on making this work??
Problem with this as a base defense is that the people you play will just spread you out 4 wide and attack it.

in a way i kind of invite that because it leaves my 3 legend dlineman one on one, hopefully they can make a impact in that scenario.

Yep, pass blocking generics eat gold linemen for breakfast in this game.

Even moreso if they're getting a leadership boost.

I'm about to make a team that won't have Walter Payton in it which is crazy for me, what is the best all around gold HB I'm thinking about trying out Thurman Thomas, Leroy Kelly, Marcus Allen or the white guy Paul Hornung. Which one is better? And what are each players strengths?

Re: the os ladder crying, complaining thread(with a tad bit of strategy)

Marcus Allen is powerful, still has the GL dive... is an awesome pass catcher. What you'll notice is he doesn't need to sink his hips to make sharp cuts, he just does.

Hornung also has very good hands. He's faster, and is more agile overall. His leadership seems very powerful.

I haven't used Thurman, but I've been torched by him. He's also really fast and has the best finesse moves (obviously). He reminds me of a Ladanian Tomlinson.

I like using the gold RB's that can catch, too. Having a gold RB that is a pure power workhorse type seems to invite 8 in the box and I just haven't built teams that invest in enough blockers to warrant the workhorse RB.

If you love using Payton I'd suggest you use Emmitt as a replacement. Smith is slower than Payton but he is MUCH more physical in between the tackles and is a solid pass-catcher (not as good as Thurman or Marcus Allen). Plus, his Workhorse ability will take over games.

In not Payton, I'd go with Allen or Thomas to fit your style. You like using good receiving RBs and both would fit your playcalling; Allen is more power, Thomas is more speed.

Emmitt Smiff fumbles like nobodies business for some insane reason.

A good do everything back that is rarely used, is Leroy Kelly.

Soft hands, return specialist, and can do a little bit of everything well.
