Just like in reality. Lott was a vicious CB when he was young.
Lott was a Pro Bowler at FS,SS & CB so he should be GREAT at all 3.

I find it funny that 49ers players in different tiers in different positions are always the best.
Gold OLB: Dave Wilcox
Bronze ILB: Ken Norton Jr
Gold CB: Rod Woodson
Gold FS: Ronnie Lott
Bronze WR: Dwight Clark and John Taylor
Silver TE: Brent Jones (You don't know his secret like I do :-) )
Bronze OT: Bubba Paris (He destroys Pass Rushers like he did to Reggie White, and he gives me 5 seconds for pass blocking)
Bronze OG: Both 49ers OG
Bronze C: Jesse Sapolu (Strong and fastest C in that postion with great agility means he can turn and block MLB upfield when running sweeps)
Silver DE: Chris Doleman (He is a beast as a DT or 3-4 OLB)
Silver OT: Bob ST. Claire (DUH!)
Gold WR: Jerry Rice
Bronze QB: Joe Brodie
Gold QB: Joe Montana
Silver HB: Roger Craig and Ricky Watters

I'm thinking about putting together a power running team looking something like this:

G: OL
S: Chuck Muncie
S: Keith Jackson
S: OL
B: Steve Grogan
B: William Perry
B: Robert Brazille
B: Eric Green
B: Tom Rathman
B: Fred Marion

B: Albert Lewis

Any suggestions for the OL?
suggestions in bold. Curt Warner is really explosive, once you get the workhorse attribute going. Ditka gives you leadership bonus on O.
I'd also go with a few more people who can cover, and a good pass rusher...since you are hoping to leave guys with a short clock and force them to throw the ball
Youre going to be running the ball alot, and hoping to get a lead quick, and get them in a catch up mode.

G LT: Munoz or maybe Russ Grimm. Both are unreal when it comes to speed in particular.
G G: Larry Little or Jim Otto at C - both have leadership and bulldozer.
S: Either G Delamalliere (he blocked for OJ!), Dermontii Dawson at C (Strength/bulldozer = beast!), Jim Lachey at C, or Bob St. Clair at RT!

This team is doing a pretty good job in the running game. About what I expect from a loaded O-Line.
The biggest difference I see is in the passing game however. Grogan is playing lights out and in part, I think that is thanks to the fantastic O-Line.

I have been tinkering with a 5-2 pressure type defense, looking for advice on the build:
thought about using 2 press corners, with 3 on the dline, and 2 star linebackers:
first build looked like this:
GOLD
DICK BUTKUS
OTTO GRAHAM
SILVER
ELVIN BETHEA
KEITH MILLARD
LESTER HAYES- HE SUCKS IF HE CANT BUMP YOU SO HE IS PROBABLY GONE
BRONZE
CLYDE SIMMONS
FRED MARION/EUGENE ROBINSON
ROBERT BRAZILE
2 BRONZE RECEIVERS
AND A RB

Consider using Bednarik... he actually played in a 5-2 back in the day.

Mel Renfro is every bit as good, and in some respects better then Lem Barney, and I do not care what anyone says otherwise :-)[Reply]

'Train- strong Bump and Run CB, as well as a fierce big hitter in run support. He's Joey Browner in a CB's body.
OTTO GRAHAM
SILVER
ELVIN BETHEA Jerome Brown- you can run right at Keith Millard. Brown can support the run, and rush the passer. Roger Wherli- I'd keep lester personally, but Roger is a good tackler, and is strong.
BRONZE
CLYDE SIMMONS Chris Spielman-Probably the most versatile bronze LB. Good at defelecting the ball in the air, and will get the occasional INT off of deflections thanks to his loose ball magnet attribute.
ROBERT BRAZILE
2 BRONZE RECEIVERS
AND A RB
