PS3 NCAAF League Interest?

Hi guys, I want to gauge interest for a PS3 2k8 NCAA league.

Ideas are as follows:

* CAP Teams (modeled after 2008 real-life counterparts, subject to approval and CAP guidelines)
* Progression/Regression (including graduation)
* Dedicated Website (including all stats from current and previous season)
* 8 Week Season (places increased importance every game, as the real NCAAF is)
* Required Scouting/Grading Reports (as you play you enter these reports, viewable by all. makes players aware of the tendencies of players before actually playing them)

I have experience running leagues before, see http://igbl.nwcd.net/index.cfm?FuseAction=LeagueNews though I'm no longer involved there. I also developed this http://www.europeinruins.com but recently handed off development to someone else.

My ideas would be to create a website to house everything since PS3 users don't get the same awesomeness that XBOX360 does. This would be mainly copying stats from the league screen to the website.

Furthermore, I've found quite a few league rules, CAP guidelines, and progression/regression from other leagues I think I could build off of even though I'm new around here.

I figured I'd start with 8 teams, then increase as popularity was gained (if it was), and that we could also develop a NFL style league to go along with it using those graduating from the NCAA league to be rookies in the NFL style league (with a draft of them).

Is there any interest in anything like this? Are there enough PS3 players for it? No big deal either way, I'd just love to hear your thoughts.

Of course it'll be SIM...

I'd be interested. Played the crap out of this game on xbox last year. Was without a system for a while. Got a PS3 for x-mas and picked this up for $9. Looked at the lobbies and man, there isn't a whole lot going on for PS3. 46 gamers online. Quite a difference from a year ago on the xbox for sure.

I'll keep tabs on the thread. Lemme know. I'd like to use Miss. State. Though, I really shouldn't be allowed to have anything but generics, lol. Guess that's the beauty of gaming, escape from reality.

Also, It would be cool if we could use 5 ability golds. This as simple as loading a profile with all 50 achievements onto a USB drive or memory stick and loading it to the PS3, which isn't possible on the xbox.

Great. Yea, I plan on using Ok State, so...

Anyway, I asked around online in the lobby today and we may have some people interested, you might ask around when you see people in the lobbies yourself, we may be able to get enough.

Anyway, I'm going to work on putting together a little site to get us started and hopefully be able to setup a quick message with the address and paste it into the lobby to get people checking it out.

As for 5 ability golds, I did download the file, but we'll have to wait and see. I think 5 ability golds maybe a bit too much as golds are already really powerful. We'll have to setup discussions for banned abilities (if any), etc...

Ok. Like I said, all my previous experience is with the xbox version. I never used CAPs, nor did I have all the achievments unlocked, so I don't have any experience with the effectiveness of 5 abl. CAPs. I did play against some online, but didn't have any trouble against them, nothing any more powerful than other golds. We could always just hold all gold players in the league to a league wide vote so no silliness gets in.

PS... My PS name (gamertag) or whatever sony calls it is PugHua.

I haven't gotten online with the game since I got my PS3, but if I play someone decent I'll see if they're interested.
