Think 2k11 is possible?

The rumormill is starting to roll a little bit. It makes sense, with their not being a football release this year. Just trying to start a discussion.

Well I was just on the Backbreaker site, and some guy over there is claiming he got comfirmation that APF11 will be coming out next year. Take it with a grain of salt.

Valderez basically confirmed to us that there would be an APF 2k10, we all see how that turned out.

Im sorry to say but APF is dead boys, just enjoy 2k8 in all her glory.

I'm not getting my hopes up. I've still got 2K8 and hopefully I enjoy Madden this year. I'll be ecstatic if it happens one day but I won't hold my breath.

No, not APF2K10, APF2K9, and I confirmed it was in development, which it was. The game was green lighted (in dev) until nearly May of 2008 when it was suddenly, and unexpectedly canned. Don't blame the messenger for the message.

No 2K11 right now, all of the football devs are currently assigned to other teams. Some random guy on back breaker is just blowing smoke.

What's up Valderez? What would I stand to gain from all this? Absolutely nothing at all. I was told by an individual that has close contact with someone at 2k Sports. This person said that your servers were down for a few days and that the reason they were down is because of another addition to the 2k Football series. So, I had this person clarify by asking 3 times throughout our conversation if this was true and he said without a doubt.

I've been a fan of 2k games for along time and I would never put out false information. So if you feel that I am just blowing smoke, well, I'm not. Obviously, you are a Mod at the website and I am not. I'm just looking for some real answers.

Well, lets hope the rumor is true. I suppose they would have to go fully customizable if they do a 2010 release, correct? Or maybe a fictional league. I believe the legend contracts would be up by then.

Re: Think 2k11 is possible?

I suggest you clarify again. The web servers for APF2K8 are down due to a massive server move that occurred a week or so ago and problems getting the XBox 360 accounts synched again. APF2K8 is on the old server platform that is on life support / maintenance only.

When APF2K8 was shut down they dismantled the team and moved them all to other projects. I had word roughly a month ago they were still engaged on those projects. So unless I'm being misled, or something has drastically changed since then (hard to believe they got a team together / code produced to affect servers), this is all smoke.
