I've had an offensive lineman stand still while a LB blitzed RIGHT PAST HIM for a sack. I've thrown a pass to a wide open receiver, only to watch the ball sail 10 yards in the opposite direction right into the hands of a waiting DB. I've thrown perfect touch passes over the top of a CPU LBs, only to have them launch in the air like Michael Jordan with a rocket up their butt and tip them away...and they were looking in the opposite direction!! I've caught balls, taken four steps, only to watch it fall out of my hands for an incompletion. The list goes on and on and on.
Every complaint you listed here is in APF EVERY game. Anyone who can't see that may as well be named Stevie Wonder or Ray Charles (no disrespect intended to the two musical genius'). But to sit back and bash Madden when the same issues exist in the game you claim is so great is completely biased. I played this game for two years daily up until about a month ago when I took a break, and I will personally guarantee this game called APF is broken, 1) for all the reasons you just listed, (thanks for saving me the time) and 2) others that have already been documented in countless threads over at 2K and here. There's no reason to ride an APF high horse because at bes this game is like a 7-7.5 at best, same for Madden, each game has very promising and degrading factors but you only point out the negatives on one side when they exist on both. It's like two criminals rob a bank but only one gets punished, a kid can tell you thats not fair. I think if you just stated you were biased in favor of APF people would stop responding to you and this thread could get back on track. Thats the honest truth.

Speaking of legends...Do we know if M10 will Have classic/alltime teams on the gm this year?It is one of the few things that may sway me to go ahead and pick it up.That is one of the things that I liked about the previous Madden series pre-06.

Re: APF Players' Response to Madden 10 News

Every game has problems. We all know that. The issue is not that every game has problems, which the topic always degrades to. Its How are the devs of that game working to FIX the problems.

If you look at both companys history, 2K has always pushed their game forward while fixing old problems. EA has had these problems for years and have brought them to the current gen systems.

People who have not played the games for long are not gonna look at things from that pov but people who have been playing since 89 are gonna have a different perspective.

5 years into next gen, madden catches up to 2K last gen and everyone is ready to have a party. Yeah congrats, you finally made it, but for us who have been waiting for BETTER for so long, this game aint some advancement to the next level its welcome back to madden 2005 last gen...with 2K5 presentation.

That in itself is an insult. you are getting 2K5 like presentation in Madden 2010. It only leaves you to wonder what 2K10 presentation would be at if the NFL license had not been taken.

Thats what has me a bit peeved. Woo Hoo we finally got a playable madden on the next gen consoles(we think) and I am suppose to act like I am in zen over it. I am pleased I can finally have a NFL game I can bear enough to play online and really give it time, but this aint no improvement over 5 year tech.

I think Madden has made a good leap, but it is at least 2 more leaps from surpassing APF2k8. Madden still lacks in presentation, animations, and the little things.

And for the record sometimes some of the posters on here act a little bratty. There is no need guys. If you criticize others be willing to take back, that is all, even if you can get the overall last say.

I hope that the game plays balanced and that the teams feel varied from each other. That would be a major improvement.

i got tired of playing the demo, game graphics are nice, until they move. In some area's i see them getting better, but it still lacks something that doesnt suck me into the game. I got bored of the demo only after a few times playing it.

I pass.

It seems like its is missing player specific animations, trash talking and.....well it seems like the game was just givin life, but it is in a newborn status.

I actually did not think that the engine could do what it is showing now, maybe there is some hope in a decent football experience. I actually see a little 2k in it.

Great question and the answer is no.

Re: APF Players' Response to Madden 10 News

it seems a lot of people, here and elsewhere, are playing madden expecting not just a great sim game of nfl football, but for it to be of the same flavor as APF.

Its like some people are eating lasagna and hoping it taste like spaghetti. Just cause it doesn't taste like spaghetti doesn't mean its not excellent italian cuisine.

I think both games are different, and both seem to be pretty good games of sim nfl football (well forget the nfl part in terms of allpro lol). If one isn't your taste, thats cool, doesn't make it not sim or not good.
