Re: Wish list for the next APF2k

1. Offensive and Defensive coordinators giving you info in your headset on type of under and deep coverage you can expect to face from your opponent based on info from the VIP.

2. More of those themed Sadiums(I love em) More Legends.

"This would be nice but they would need to pay them. Judging by the sales of this game, it ain't happening."

Habla... "wishlist"...? Besides, it will be subsidized by sales of Bioshock and GTA IV.

My personal wishlist is simply that they can get enough legends to allow us a configuration like....

Gold - 4
Silver - 6
Bronze - 12

If we will continue to have to make up 1/2 of our starters with generics, then I would just like the ability to choose my generics as well - and each of them should have an ability so that I can see what I am getting (and they shouldn't automatically reset).

That's all I've got.

Exactly my beef. We should be able to really pick 11 offense, 11 defense, 1 kicker, 1 punter. I see no real reason why we should be stuck with random generics that we have no control over.

I do think the limitation you're stuck with adds an element of strategy. I don't like that your generics reset anytime you modify your roster - that part sucks, especially when you've become attached to some of them. Perhaps there's a way to balance it so you can choose who you want to keep while making it so people aren't just picking the best generic players available. I think if they attached base stats to the players like 40times, bench strength, etc., and you had to judge based on those stats that might be a way to give us a way to identify a generic's potential rather than it being mostly random (a person that can run a fast 40 time doesn't necessarily make him run fast in pads, for example). And perhaps they could allow us to designate who we'd like to keep at the generic level

Re: Wish list for the next APF2k

  1. Vastly improve the graphics. The game doesn't feel like a next gen title to me (just my opinion that I know some of you don't agree with).
  2. FULL CUSTOMIZATION! Have 32 teams and let people recreate the NFL if you want with total control.
  3. Get rid of the charge system. I'm just tired of the button mashing and don't really like it.
  4. Functional franchise mode.

Re: Wish list for the next APF2k

Custome League setup:

When starting a season/franchise/multi-season allow the user to customize everything about the league:
a) number of teams in the league
b) number of divisions in the leage
c) length of schedule
d) playoff format
e) league rules-give as many options as possible (Over time type, penatly options, replay options, two minute warning options, maybe even field dimensions (arena, nfl, canadian) etc.)
f) names of all teams and players
g) jerseys, stadiums, mascotts of all teams
***Let the user decide if legends should be included or excluded in the league, so that people who want to play with only generics, can. They can still use the legends to sell the game, but give the user the freedom to do what they want.

Basically, let the user set up their own league.

I know a lot of other stuff needs tweaking, fixing, etc., but I would happily buy the game again if this was added.

Also, maybe give each generic some type of ability or description to let you know what kind of a player they are.

Then played a LOT better than any other basketball game before it in '07. Madden's new engine hasn't meant better. We shouldn't want change for for the sake of change.

If they were able to come up with a new engine that has a true physics system built in that'd be worth it. Perhaps a third party app like NaturalMotion's Euphoria engine would be a perfect match with APF's already great animation system. But don't know how that all works and/or if it's cost-prohibitive
exactly , while EAs engines were being changed just to keep up with VC's Bball/FB engines. Madden / Ncaa are just getting comfortable with multiple player interactions, and comfortable is a stretch. I must Admit EA is making strides but the are still nowhere close to the 2k5(xbox) engine.

but unless they can keep all the gameplay elements in place and add tons of neverbefore seen gameplay elements, i say the current engine is fine. it just needs polish and tweaking. I can even use defenders momentum against them with slight manuevers now, ive been wanting that from 2k forever. i made a slight cutback (didnt even triger the cutback animation) and slid by a defender and forced him to reach back and try an arm tackle. the nuances of this game is what makes it stand out, you dont pick up on it until you dig in lol....
