Re: Rugby Challenge

Having a great time with this game. I had some beginners luck the first few games and tried to start on normal but then was getting my butt kicked. I ended up playing a season on easy with the Waratahs in the Super 15. I ended up losing a crazy final to the Crusaders. I was down by like 3 or 4 in bonus time and was in the goal but my guy couldn't touch the ball down. I got pushed out or something.

I bumped back up to normal for season 2 and won every game so far (1/2 way done) except another tight game to the Crusaders where they scored on a turnover right at the 80 minute mark. I think both games against the Crusaders ended up 17-14. It looks like we might be gearing up for a rematch in the finals this season. I didn't really have a clue what team or league to pick. I just pretty much picked one at random.

I'm glad you guys are having so much fun with the game

Out of interest, how many of you have Vitas and plan to get it for that platform when it comes out?

I am definately enjoying the game tons. I have started watching Rugby and even the wife is into it now even though she says that our children will NEVER play it. She likes watching others play it though.

If I had a Vita I would buy it for sure. I want one but I don't want to spend $250-300 on a hand held anything. I will wait until the hype dies down along with the price.

May sound crazy, but rugby is safer than football.

Re: Rugby Challenge

I'd like to get a read from the group on the game's "replayability", or longevity in your gaming habits. I've read great things about the game, but I have also seen some comments that after playing the game only a few times, it becomes stale and just starts to collect dust on the shelf.

I'm excited to get a rugby game, but I don't want to spend $60 on something that I will just shelve in a couple weeks.

Thanks all.

Here's my take:

It is a solid game and extremely fun to play. If you never have seen a match before, that's not a big deal because all of the game's more complicated have been left out and there is a tutorial explaining the basic rules of the game.

oh this would be perfect for me to slowly understanding Rugby....I love my Vita because I can get in quick games of Fifa and sometimes The Show (but never in one sitting, but I can pause it and continue later).

So I have always been curious about Rugby, watched a few matches...and also for AFL? (Field is HUUUUGE O_o) I know they have their differences. But I just love how passionate the fans are of this sport.

but yeah a Vita version would be a great entry way for me to be able to fit in this game into my catalog.
