Why is this college lacrosse when they do not have college teams? I would like nothing more to be Syracuse and destroy everyone I play

Ok, but where why even have "College" in the name of the game. College Lacrosse implies they have real college teams.

When EA first made a 'college' game they had no licenses. This is one guy making a game basically hoping EA will pick it up from there.

Touche salesmen. Lacrosse is a growing sport and I would love to see a video game based on it, but I do not see a major developer creating a lacrosse game in the near future.

I just learned today that you will be able to edit and create your own teams from the games creator. He should actually be joining OS in the near future and could spread much more light on this.

If this game were to sell really well as an Indie game, there is a chance I would imagine that EA or some other company sees value and takes a chance to make this game. I think what holds it back is the lack of a marquee professional league and that they fail to realize how popular the college game is quickly becoming. For 10+ years now lacrosse has had the largest growth of any sport in America, it is just that Title IX prevents colleges from adding varsity programs. If they were smart they'd also get the club teams in the game such as Michigan, USC, FSU, and others.

I know it's indie, and it's going to be cheap... but man, is there a MASSIVE amount of sliding going on with the players. They did better with sliding in some of the NES basketball games.

That being said, it was a huge project to come down with as an indie studio, and other than that, it looks like a decent game. I just have qualms about that, and its affects on the gameplay. I'm mostly worried about the controls... is it going to be tight like it would need to be, or is it going to be hard to control? IMO, that would kill this game and any chances it had at doing anything big.

It's probably good for lacrosse to be getting a game, but there are downsides to it if the game doesn't play well.

For a sport that has only had one video game ever released (Blast Lacrosse for the PS1), it can't hurt. I think the attitude you are taking towards it is a good one. Unfortunately judging by the comments by douche bag teenagers on Facebook it doesn't seem everyone realizes the huge endeavor this game was to take on. If EA were to make a game it would spend a good 12-18 months being made by a team.
