The Chiefs theme for the 2012/13 season..............STAY HEALTHY
The 2011 season ended in ultimate disappointment for the KC Chiefs due to crushing injuries. They look to turn things around in the 2012 season behind a strong rushing attack and one of the best secondaries in the NFL.
Quarterback
The Chiefs look to bounce back from the dismal 2011 season and they will start with getting their starting quarterback Matt Cassell back. He has a lot to prove, but with a healthy surrounding cast and a great running game coming back, he shouldn't have to be relied on to do much.
Running Back

The strength and focus of the Chief offense will be the running attack. One of the biggest losses to injury last year was the loss of starting tailback Jamaal Charles. Charles looks to pick back up from his stellar 2010 season and will be a key part of the Chiefs offense. During the offseason, the Chiefs signed Peyton Hillis, who should play a huge role in the Chief rushing attack. Also look for certain situations with the speedy Dexter Mccluster.
Wide Receiver/Tight End

The biggest question mark for the Chiefs after the Quarterback position is at Wide Receiver. Second year man Johnathan Baldwin has tremendous potential, but those talents will only be maximized if he improves his attitude. The future of Dwayne Bowe is uncertain as he is in a contract year and management has not yet made a decision whether or not to resign him or try to trade him for younger talent. Rounding out the receivers is TE Tony Moeaki who had a great 2010 season, but missed the entire 2011 season due to a injury in the preseason.
Defense
The Chiefs defense, led by Safety Eric Berry and OLB Tamba Hali look to improve in the 2012 season. Berry missed most of last year and the defense was forced to play extended time on the field due to the poor offense from last year. Look for a major bounce back this year for this unit.
