I would stay away from 2k9 at all cost. Baseball games always release in March so if you need a fix, pick up a copy of 2k7 for $4-$5 at any game store. With proper sliders, it plays a solid game of baseball. Or if you have a PS3, pick up the show.

2K's baseball game went into the pooper. 2k9 is the same game 2k7 was, just with a roster update.

You really should just get The Show. The Show is by far one of the best sports (not just baseball) game out there.

Id stay away from 2k9 and 2k10 and this is comming from a guy who has bought every major sports game the day it has com out nfor the last few years.

2k has shown no improvement over the last few years and 2k10 has promised to be nothing but a roster update.

Did you get some early preview of the game no one else has? I would wait and see what features are added to 2k10 before you make up your mind.

But I would agree to stay away from 2K9 unless it falls below $10. I wouldn't spend more than $5 for a baseball game right now.

i agree...anyone who rushes out to purchase 2k10 on release day is crazy. they have done nothing to earn my trust. it will take a lot of willpower for me to resist the temptation to do so (because i really love baseball) so i'll probably have to hand my keys over to my wife...

Thats a good idea giving your keys to your wife LOL. Joking aside, although 2k9 didn't live up to expectations, I wouldn't write off 2k10. I have a strong feeling that people will see full spring training, 40 man rosters, waivers, rule 5, june draft, etc. The only reason I say this is because 2k sports is well aware of what SCEA is doing and the direction they are headed. They simply can't afford to put out another inferior product. If they leave out these features that I just mentioned, god help all of their souls because that may be it for them. I, and many others, will be rootn for 2k to get their act together. We haven't had 2 solid baseball games since 05.

No, but did read all the 2K hype for 2k9 just to purchase it on release day just to play with 2k7 graphics and 2k8 game play. Im predicting that itl be 3 years straight of OF that cant catch.
