Obviously hard-disk space is a concern, but there are aftermarket solutions available that can now hold up to 500GB. With the PS3 apparently starting to phase out the 80GB in favor of the 120GB, this may be the direction Sony, at least, is heading.

I'm not really in favor of either PS3 or 360, I think they both have their problems, but because I do own a PS3, yes it is unfortunate that we have to deal with the 'ported' games. I doubt it will ever change because it's simply harder to develop games for the PS3. Maybe Sony will try and address these issues come the next generation of consoles.
I believe Forza 3 coming to the 360 this October will be the first 2 disc game so multi disc games are in our future. I own a PS3 and a 360, I don't know all the tech stuff but I feel if EA could make a better game on the PS3 and it would take multi disc's do give us that same game on the 360, then they should do it. Even if it means we have to install the game on our 360 HDD, so be it. If you can't afford a 120gig HDD then maybe you can't afford to be gaming.

One system should not be limited because of another. Maybe after Forza 3 comes out on two discs things will change.
