2005 Texas isn't better than 2004 USC. 2005 Texas was only slightly better, or luckier, than 2005 USC.

I would rank them like this.

1. 2001 Miami
2. 2004 USC
3. 2005 Texas
4. 2002 Ohio State
5. 2004 Auburn
