1998 denver broncos
g - john elway, qb (in-game)
g - terrell davis, hb (workhorse, breakaway burst, clutch)
s - rod smith, wr (route god, soft hands)
s - steve atwater, fs (big hit, footsteps)
s - shannon sharpe, te (route god, speed burner)
b - bill romanowski, olb (run reader)
b - john mobley, olb (wrap up tackler)
b - mark schlereth, g (bulldozer)
b - trevor pryce, dt (strength bonus)
b - ed mcaffrey, wr (tough in middle)
b - tony jones, t (bulldozer)
a prolific offense (501 points, 31.3 ppg), grounded in a fantastic running game, highlighted by terrell davis' 2,008 yard rushing season. with elway in his last year, shannon sharpe and ed mcaffrey posted pro bowl seasons, while rod smith had an arguably better year than both. not to be forgetten, their defense only allowed 19.3 points a game, and helped lead the team to a 14-2 record (with a 13-0 start).
2nd best scoring offense, 8th best scoring defense. 3rd best in yardage, 11th best in defensive yards. great run defense, poor pass defense, but great in the air and in the sky on offense.
