I dont have 360 so I'm limited to xbox1 versions of 2K5, 2K6, or 2K7... & after picking up all 3 for about 15 bucks total, I think I like 2K6 the most (way too many pass interceptions in 2K7 IMO even after much slider tweakage)
So, I downloaded the enhanced community roster for xbox1 2K6 from here; the one with all the assistant coaches added in, the court updates, all classic teams, etc... And that is my base roster. I planned to append that into a few new rosters where I add in different historic teams, or update a few of my fav teams to 2K7, 2K8, or 2K9 in each, but I'm running into a problem when editing
Something is causing the potential of any player I alter to change to "A." I assume it is changing either the pos or class (can't be merely renaming I would think since somehow the community roster was created without altering potential for anyone).
So:
1) is potential a hidden attribute which cannot be edited on xbox1
2) any workarounds to edit a player while at least keeping potential where it was (like transfering players between teams maybe?)
3) any other hidden attributes like FT style?
I know most everyone here has prob moved on to 360, but ANY quick answers to these questions would be appreciated if you know even if you aren't playing on xbox1 any longer
thanks
EDIT:
A little browsing indicates that this potential issue i described was a bug at least on PS2, so I assume the same stands for xbox? Assuming this is true, can anything be edited (besides names) without causing the A+ potential bug? Appearance maybe?
Aside, how frustrating is it that the search tool here doesn't recognize 3 character strings? e.g. can't search to include "2K5" "2K6" "360" etc OR any 3 character attribute acronyms which a huge percent of sports games utilize & no one posts thinking about this limitation of course. Something OS has gotta change IMO.
Also difficult to account for is that no one seems to discriminate between xbox1 & xbox 360 in their subject titles... many rosters right in this forum before 2K8 would still often just say "xbox" (community roster for 2K7 for instance) & this is only realized by looking at attachments or when the thread limit was reached & a second was opened with the correct description.
Okay rant over
