Ok let's look at these 3 shot charts. If you think the first two are acceptable then you probably don't need to be in this league.
Here's a rules reminder:
Defense
1. You don't have to play on-ball defense at all times. HOWEVER, you can't control the PG and continuously try to steal every pass going to the PG. No playing passing lanes constantly. The CPU will do it for you if you have good defenders.
2. Do not abuse full court press defense, only use this in realistic situations
Offense
1. You may not average more than 50% of your points from the paint. The formula used: PiP - 2nd chance points - fast break points. The only possible way to average over 50% of you PiP is to force the ball into the paint. The formula gives fast break teams and those with great offensive rebounders to not worry about running the break or putting up an offensive board.
2.
Do not hold turbo all the time on offense. If you get a defensive board and want to run, fine.
3. No fast breaks off made shots. The CPU is terrible at getting back for you and this is easily exploitable. You can still fast break of TO's & missed shots so play good D to get these opportunities!!!
4. Do not run around in circles/isomotion until you finally have the lane to drive.

Do not force your way into the paint for scores

Do not abuse turbo in the half court offense. How many times do you see an NBA guy sprint in the half court with the ball? You can do a quick burst to get some separation for a shot but if you use it to run around until you find a lane that is unacceptable.

If you are down by a couple scores late in the game play realistically to get back in it! Do NOT go straight to the rim and abuse the exploits in the game!
9. Play everyone the way you wanted to be played. Don't run up the score late. Don't take jumpers when you can run out the shot clock for a victory.
Play to win but have respect for your opponent.
10. You must have a mic! If you don't, you will not be in the league. I think everyone here has a mic though.
The blue highlights above sum it all up: don't use turbo in excess and try and do something legitimate when you get in a half court offense.
If you have a 1-on-2 when you're going down the court that's not a fast break. Any player to take it up would be reprimanded for the bad decision IRL. 2-on-1 fast breaks take them all day!
Play to have fun and if you can't do that if you happen to lose you need to find another league. If shot charts don't start to look better some people might need to go start another league if they want to play. This is the OS
